Supporting Recovery and Healing.
Security & Safety
Recently there have been concerns on internet safety due to various individuals who have been joining meetings of various groups and businesses who shouldn't be there. We have listened to our survivors and the news sharing the concerns of this, and have taken action.
Effective 4.23.2020 we have moved to changing our group room passwords regularly. In addition we have moved to a provider that meets HIPAA standards. As of today, any communication with survivors through email will be encrypted. This means you will need to choose a passcode or password that is secure to access any emails we send. Our forms are currently being moved to this same provider so any form submissions are also HIPAA compliant.
We are currently working to increase security in our group rooms. We take your safety seriously. You've been through enough hurt and pain in your life. We want to honor your safety and your privacy.
If you believe in the work we do supporting survivors, please see our Donate Now page to help us cover the costs of these increased safety measures.
COVID-19 Fundraiser for Security
Due to Covid-19 we need to move to obtaining HIPAA Compliant group rooms on Zoom to provide better protection for survivors of abuse and sexual trauma who are joining our groups. In addition, we've needed to move to HIPAA Compliant email and forms to provide the extra protection there. This increase in security and safety has brought up to a place where we are needing to raise $3300 to cover costs for these changes.
Please consider a one time donation to help us support survivors in the safest way possible. Thank you!
Let us know what you need
We are interested in learning more about what you as a survivor would like to see. We are open to hearing from you and the needs of support that you've been trying to find. Any special topics of concern that you'd like to suggest we look into, are welcomed. While we can't put all ideas and programming into place, we do want to look at what many survivors today are struggling with that we might offer support for and add to our program.
We are actively interviewing individuals who are compassionate and desire to assist us in providing support to survivors by volunteering your time. If you are at least 18 years of age, we are needing a few volunteers who are able to help with group facilitation, administrative work, Facebook group moderation and facilitation, our newsletters and with fundraising.
